1 You must check your eligibility
To take part in a clinical trial, you need to meet the criteria for a particular study.
Here are the general criteria you will need to match:
- Over 18 years of age
- Living in
US - Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Free from a history of taking illegal drugs or alcohol abuse
Every study will highlight additional requirements. If you are interested in a study, meet the general criteria, and are available during all the dates listed, please complete the online registration form and one of our recruitment team will contact you. They will explain further details about the study and ask you some questions to determine if the study is a good fit for you. If so, you will be invited to screen and be given a screening appointment. If you don’t qualify, don’t worry as you may still be eligible for other studies in the future.

2 Screening visit
Before you take part in any trial with us, you will need to come in for a screening appointment. The screening appointment is a thorough medical examination to check if you qualify for the clinical trial you are interested in. This will include:
Your consent
Quotient staff will review the informed consent in detail with you. This is so that you can make an informed choice on whether or not you want to take part. Once you’ve signed the informed consent form you’ll be able to proceed with the screening evaluation.
Your Medical Examination
The medical examination is like a full health check. It covers things such as checking your height and weight, along with blood and urine tests to check for tobacco and drugs of abuse use. We will also perform an ECG (electrocardiogram) test to check your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. We will ask you questions about your health and medical history.

3 During your stay
Our clinic is located in 3898 NW 7th Street Miami, FL 33126 and it is easy to reach by public transport or by car. When you arrive, you will need to check-in and we will introduce you to the team who will be taking care of you. Make sure you do not bring with you any snacks or alcohol to the clinic, as all the meals will be provided for you.
Arrival
We normally ask that you come in the day before you will be dosed. There are often some tests to confirm that you are still eligible to take part.
Dosing
On the morning of dosing, it is often an early start, sometimes
6am , or occasionally earlier. There may be more tests, often checks on blood pressure, heart rate and possibly blood and urine samples. The measurements tend to become less frequent as the day goes on and often by the evening you will be able to socialize with other volunteers.Meals
Each trial may vary in terms of the timings and frequency of meals. For example, breakfast
may be a couple of hours after we have given you the test medicine or sometimes you will get to eat first. Some studies require you to continue fasting after you have received the medication until lunchtime. Our highly-qualified team are on hand 24/7 to keep an eye on everything and answer any questions you might have, but you can sit back and relax, play games, watch DVDs or play some pool.

clinic and you will be aware of this before you take part in the trial.Once all appointments are completed, most payments will be made via a pre-paid debit card within 7 days after study completion.
The payment you will receive for taking part in a clinical trial can vary from trial to trial depending on length,
number of overnight stays, proceduresundertaken and the number of return visits. Under strict guidelines, this is never calculated based on risk, only inconvenience.Payments made to you for taking part in a clinical trial are reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
